Cynthia Gidoin (CEN PACA) and Perrine Turiez (Chamber of Agriculture 13) presented the project with great enthusiasm. They explained their respective areas of expertise: monitoring of the Crau Plain Grasshopper populations (capture-mark-recapture campaigns are known to be extremely challenging with this almost undetectable species!), and, for the latter, pastoral management and the interactions between ecology and grazing in the Crau steppe.
The volunteers showed great interest in the topic and continued their discussions with the team while having a small drink together. A big thank you to the dedicated volunteers of the CEN PACA who regularly contribute to the activities coming along with the Crau Pain Grasshopper, and represent important support for the protection of this species!
