During these two days, the park’s educational team set up a stand to discover the Crau Plain Grasshopper. The aim was to help visitors discover this unknown insect and its habitat, while having fun!

Among the activities on offer:

  • a mini Crau plain, where visitors had to find the grasshoppers, well camouflaged among the stones and dry vegetation… right next to the sheep
  • a box to touch, to make visitors guess objects 4 cm long, the size of a Crau Plain Grasshopper
  • creation of grasshopper antennae

Visitors and park staff also joined in a wild flashmob, joyfully reiterating the particularities of the grasshopper… and our engagement to save it!
