On the programme, for young and old alike

A stand to discover the species and its habitat – the coussouls of the Crau -, with several games:

  • Take up the challenge “Find the Crau Plain Grasshoppers in the landscape”.
  • Create grasshopper antennae.
  • Take part in a fun flashmob to understand the specificities of the Crau Plain Grasshopper: Saturday at 11.30 am and Sunday at 3.45 pm!

The teams of the La Barben zoological garden are very happy to take an active part in the preservation of this unique local species. They will answer all your questions about this little-known insect.

A committed animal park

As a reminder, the La Barben zoological garden is one of the associated partners of the LIFE SOS Crau grasshopper programme. It actively participates by contributing to the breeding and reintroduction programme, but also by organising awareness-raising activities such as the upcoming weekend.
